It helps on open forums like this to at least lay out a few ground rules regarding posting. As this is a private discussion forum with, most likely a smaller number of members posting, there is no need to get to stringent with rule making however there are a few general rules which will help keep the forum productive.
1. Please be sure that the contents of your post are relevant to the category in which you are posting. If there is no specific category which your question or thread would fall under there is a "General" discussion thread located on the homepage for such posts.
2. Be Nice and keep it professional! Should not even have to mention this, but this is a forum created to provide a resource for people in positions of leadership at Vision Source Practices to gain perspective on the strategies others might be using to be successful.
3. If you like someone's post there are ways to let them know! you can leave a like by pressing the "thumbs up" button towards the upper right of their post, or you can reply to their post letting them know directly.
4. On forums, especially ones with less than 100 active members, it is common for someone to start a thread and not get a response for a while. If you come across a post from some time ago and no one has responded, or it has just been a while since the last post and you are interested in the conversation continuing, you can reply with a simple "bump" line. This will notify the rest of the members at their next login about a new post being made in that thread. Bumping threads is very common in discussion forums, and it just means someone would like to know or see more on that particular subject or thread.
5. Lastly, and probably most importantly, Do not post threads or responses to threads with personal or work emails in them. Bots comb all over the internet on forums and on all sites that archive comments for email addresses to spam. If you would like to get in personal contact with someone in the group you can private message them from within the forum, or private message them and get a phone number to call them at.
Happy Posting!
